According to a report in today’s Sun newspaper, Kylie will be joining the Scissor Sisters during their Pyramid Stage slot on Sunday (June 27) to perform her new single ‘All The Lovers’. Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has co-written several songs on her new album, ‘Aphrodite’.

Kylie had to pull out of her appearance at Glastonbury in 2005 after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

A feud began when Christina Aguilera was first compared to Lady Gaga.

But Kylie Minogue has insisted she doesn’t mind the comparison between herself and the Bad Romance singer, and feels she has had an influence on Gaga’s career.

Kylie made the admission as she posed for an extremely Gaga-esque photoshoot with BlackBook magazine in which she is seen posing in a series of sexy cutaway swimsuits – covered in water.

She said: ‘I think there’s an element of me in her, but you’d also have to add into that mix all of the other women we’ve been talking about.

‘It’s all part of a chain. In as much as dance music has gone mainstream, I’d love to think that I’ve played a part in that.’

She may only be a tiny 5ft 1in but Kylie Minogue knows how to give the catwalk queens a run for their money. With the help of her dancers -- and some very high-heeled, over-the-knee cream lace-up boots -- she towered above the stage as she performed in Cologne last night. The pint-sized pop star, who teamed her legwear with a very revealing floaty dress, was one of the guests at the final of Germany’s Next Top Model.

Singer Ricky Martin stepped out in style at an AIDS research organisation’s New York gala hosted by Kylie Minogue in one of his first public appearances since announcing he was gay.

Actress Zoe Saldana and singers Cyndi Lauper and Estelle were some of the celebrities who attended the amfAR event honouring the “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer for his philanthropic contributions through his foundation.

Minogue, who hosted the black tie/black leather event, said she was happy for Martin and felt he was “embracing and living life” since making the announcement in late March.

Designer Jean-Paul Gaultier was also honoured for his contributions to menswear and his humanitarian work.

The gala benefits amfAR’s AIDS research programs.

She may be a huge global star but Kylie Minogue seemed overwhelmed by fans’ reaction when she came onstage in New York.

The diminutive pop princess covered her ears as the crowd roared when she made her entrance in gay bar Splash.

In a metallic silver mini-dress, gold jewellery and smoky dark eyes, the 42-year-old looked every inch the icon her fans were expecting.

Glowing with health and showcasing songs old and new, the performance was one of many engagement the soon-to-be-aunt has in America to promote her latest album Aphrodite.

After touring the US last year her fanbase is bigger than ever and it seems the star is also at her happiest.
