Kylie’s biggest fan looks for a sign

WHEN 13-year-old Oliver Hamlyn heard Kylie Minogue wasn’t bringing her X2008 tour to Adelaide he was devastated - but decided to do something about it. Rather than languishing in his grief, Oliver has collected almost 1000 signatures on AdelaideNow’s petition to bring Kylie to SA. Oliver says he was inspired by our online petition to lure the Locomotion songbird.

“I heard about the petition on the radio. I was really upset (she wasn’t coming here), I was like, ‘Oh, my God’, but I decided I had to do something,” Oliver says.

“I’m a really big Kylie fan, I have been since I was about five and I heard Spinning Around . . . and I love Better the Devil You Know.”

Oliver printed out petitions for family and friends, and wants to submit them along with the AdelaideNow online ones.

He hopes the “singing budgie” takes note.

“I love her - I love her style, she has these Yves Saint Laurent and Chloe bags . . . she’s really pretty and she’s got great legs,” he says.

“If she came to Adelaide I’d propose. My MySpace already says Oliver Minogue.”
