Minogue stresses her respect for doctors

Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue, who was first critical of the medical profession after doctors failed to diagnose her cancer, later expressed her admiration for them.
According to sources, Minogue had appeared on a TV talk show and said, “Because someone is in a white coat and using big medical instruments doesn’t necessarily mean they’re right.”
Minogue said she had heard similar stories from others and urged women to go get second opinions if they felt they were sick.
However, in a statement recently, she said she greatly respects the medical profession and is grateful to many people who have helped her heal.
“I am in the very best of hands now, but it is a fact that my initial diagnosis was that I was ‘alright, and had nothing to worry about”. A few weeks later this was clearly not the case. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment is the key for any woman diagnosed with breast cancer”, she said.
