AUSTRALIAN pop princess Kylie Minogue is reportedly planning to embark on a world tour just days after her 40th birthday next year. The Australian pop princess, who will celebrate the milestone on May 28, is working with friend and stylist William Baker on ideas for the tour, Britain’s The Sun newspaper reported today.”I’m heading back into the studio with Kylie in February to start training for the tour we want to do in June,” the tabloid quoted Baker as saying after the London premiere of a documentary about Minogue titled White Diamond. When your movie’s called White Diamond, there’s no point turning up in pearls.

So Kylie Minogue dazzled at the premiere of her documentary film in £500,000 of diamonds.

In a Dolce & Gabbana satin cream gown sprinkled with Swarovski crystals, the 39-year-old Australian singer starred on the red carpet in Leicester Square as well as the screen.

The 11-minute film, directed by her personal stylist William Baker, tells the story of her return to touring after nine months of being treated for breast cancer.

KYLIE Minogue has recorded a duet with Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai that will appear in the Asian edition of her next album, X. EMI Taiwan announced the collaboration on its official website. The singers collaborated on In My Arms, the third song on X, due out November 26.

Tsai said in a statement on the EMI Taiwan website she considered Minogue a “goddess” and her concert DVDs were required viewing.

Tsai and Minogue apparently recorded separately, with Tsai saying in the statement she imagined recording the song next to the Australian star.

X is Minogue’s first studio album in four years.

In June, Tsai was named best female singer at Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards.

Kylie returns as ‘Marilyn Minogue’

10th October 2007

Pop princess Kylie Minogue has reprised her Marilyn Monroe look in a sexy film clip for her new single 2 Hearts. The 39-year-old star has burst back onto the music scene wearing a plunging layered black ensemble, lashings of red lipstick and blonde bombshell curly locks reminiscent of the 1950s sex symbol.

The track, which is the first release since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, was written and produced by Kish Mauve, a London four-piece electro outfit.

Kylie began recording the album when she was still battling breast cancer. She said: “I had just taken my scarf off [the headscarf she wore to conceal her hair loss during cancer treatment] and wanted to reassure myself I could still do what I did before.”

“So the first chance I got, I went into the studio for a week and went nuts.”The singer is also set to mark her pop comeback with a TV special.

The Kylie Show, which will air on ITV1 later this, will feature her classic hits as well as brand new tracks from her album.

Kylie and her long-time creative director William Baker have worked on a “visual experience” to accompany each song.

Kylie said: “My creative team and I are preparing a fabulous evening with a mixture of old songs, new songs and lots of surprises thrown into the mix as well.”

Earlier this week, she was honoured at the Q Awards for a career spanning three decades and more than 40 million global album sales.

Accepting the Q Idol award, she joked: “I would like to thank those of you who continued to support me - including my dress.”

“It’s my first day back at work like this so it’s very exciting and slightly nerve-wracking,” she admitted as she arrived.

She told the audience: “Just don’t ask me what it means, but I’m very grateful and honoured to be receiving this.”

Kylie’s single 2 Hearts is out on November 12 and her album, X, on November 26.
